User Guide: Getting Started with Our Web-Based LMS
Welcome to our Learning Management System! This guide will walk you through the registration process and show you how to navigate the platform to access courses, take exams, and participate in discussions.
Accessing the Platform
To begin using our LMS, simply open your preferred web browser and visit our website. The platform is fully web-based, so there's no need to download any additional software. You'll land on our homepage where you can either log in if you're an existing user or register for a new account.
Creating Your Account
To get an account, kindly meet your organization admin to create an account for you. You will be required to provide your fullname, functioning phone number and email address. After successfully creating the account, you will be required to verify your mail.
Logging In to Your Account
Once your account is activated, return to the homepage and click "Login." Enter the email address and password you used during registration. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Reset Password" option to receive instructions for creating a new one.
Navigating the Dashboard
After logging in, you'll be taken to your personalized dashboard. This central hub gives you access to all platform features. The "Available Courses" section lets you browse and enroll in new courses. The FAQ section provides answers to common questions, and your profile settings can be adjusted as needed.
Enrolling in Courses
To enroll in a course, navigate to the "Available Courses" section from your dashboard. Browse through the course catalog or use the search function to find specific offerings. Each course listing provides detailed information about the curriculum, instructor, and requirements. When you find a course you're interested in, simply click "Enroll" to add it to your learning journey. The course will then appear in your "My Courses" section. Also note that, for some courses, the tutor has to enroll you personally.
Accessing Course Materials
Course section serves as your virtual classroom. Select any enrolled course to access its learning materials, which may include video lectures, reading assignments, practice quizzes, and other resources. The system tracks your progress as you complete each component, allowing you to easily pick up where you left off during your next session.
Taking Exams and Viewing Results
When it's time for assessments, navigate to the "Exams" section from your dashboard. Here you'll find any scheduled exams along with their due dates and instructions. During the exam, you'll be able to answer questions and submit your responses directly through the platform. After your instructor grades the exam, your results will appear in the "Results" section, where you can review your performance.
Participating in Discussions
The discussion forum is where you can connect with instructors and fellow learners. Access it through your dashboard to ask questions about course material, share insights, or collaborate on projects. Note that only tutors and admin can start new discussion threads while all users can contribute to existing conversations to enhance your learning experience.

Taking Computer-Based Tests (CBT) on the LMS Platform To take your scheduled exams, log in to the LMS platform using either your registered email address or student ID along with your password.

Exams will only become visible when two conditions are met: first, the scheduled date and time for the exam must have arrived, and second, your instructor must have activated the exam for your account. If you don't see an exam you're expecting, it likely means either the time window hasn't started yet or your instructor hasn't released it.

For certain protected exams, you'll need an exam token provided by your tutor before you can begin. This security measure ensures only authorized students can access the test. When you're ready to start, click on the exam and enter the token if prompted. The system will then verify your credentials and open the test interface.

Before beginning, carefully read all exam instructions displayed on screen. Pay special attention to the time limit, question format (multiple choice, essay, etc.), and any special requirements like webcam monitoring for proctored exams. Once you start, a countdown timer will begin - note that this timer cannot be paused, so manage your time wisely.

During the exam, answer each question thoroughly. Use the navigation panel available to review and change responses. Avoid refreshing the page or closing the browser window, as this may automatically submit your test. If you encounter technical issues, immediately contact support and provide details of the problem.

When finished, click the submit button to complete your exam. You'll will confirm your submittion before the exam can be submitted. For automatically graded tests, your results may appear immediately. For exams requiring instructor review, scores will be posted once grading is complete.

After submission, you can check your results in the "Exams" section. Some exams may allow you to review your answers, depending on settings chosen by your instructor. If you believe there's an error in your grading, contact your instructor directly with your concerns.

Remember these important policies: late arrivals to an exam will not receive additional time, the timer begins when you start and continues counting down even if you leave the page, and token-protected exams cannot be accessed without the proper authorization code from your instructor. Always ensure you have a stable internet connection before beginning any timed assessment.

This system is designed to provide a fair and secure testing environment for all students. By following these guidelines, you can ensure a smooth exam experience that accurately reflects your knowledge and abilities.
